  • Workforce1 helps New Yorkers prepare for and connect to jobs across New York City's five boroughs and in every sector of the economy. Participation requires an Inquiry form to be filled out, which is available on the website.

  • The New York Public Library also provides these tips for job seekers.

  • CEO provides immediate, effective, and comprehensive employment services to individuals who have recently returned home from incarceration. Requires a referral. Works with youth 18-24 and clients 24+. You must have a photo ID, benefit card, social security card, or birth certificate. Click here to find out more.

  • The Liberty Fund offers a workforce development program for any New York resident arrested and released pretrial.

  • NAPAD assists individuals over 18 with significant barriers to find employment in NYC and assists each participant to identify their individualized employment goals. Requires a referral, valid I-9 documents, full vaccination, access to working phone and no open warrants. Call 865-761-1374 to find out more information.


I was fired and want to file for unemployment, what do I do?
